Elementary
We place a strong emphasis on employing a pragmatic approach to a child’s education, characterized by hands-on, individualized learning experiences both on-campus and through off-campus activities. Our elementary program is structured to facilitate combined learning levels, encompassing Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and 3rd through 5th grade.
At Pathways Christian Academy, we prioritize meeting the diverse needs of all learners. Our elementary curriculum is meticulously designed to concentrate on foundational subjects such as reading, writing, and arithmetic during the morning sessions. In the afternoons, our focus extends to integrated learning experiences, both on and off campus, which emphasize service, humanities, physical education, and the development of career and college readiness skills.
At the elementary level, our Bible curriculum is centered on a comprehensive exploration of Bible stories from both the Old and New Testaments. We place a particular emphasis on understanding how each narrative converges to illuminate the Gospel message of Christ. Our overarching objective is to nurture a profound love for Jesus through both word and practical demonstration.
Middle School
Our middle school program is dedicated to advancing beyond the fundamentals and fostering a holistic approach to learning. With a focus on cultivating essential study skills, effective communication, and instilling a sense of intrinsic motivation, we aim to lay the groundwork for well-rounded academic development.
Structured as a combined learning pod spanning grades 6th through 8th, our middle school model is tailored to accommodate students at their individual academic levels. Recognizing the paramount importance of writing as a cornerstone of academic achievement across all disciplines, we place significant emphasis on instilling proper writing techniques.
During the morning sessions, our program is geared towards fostering academic growth and supporting each student’s unique learning trajectory. In the afternoons, our curriculum extends to encompass both on-campus and off-campus activities aimed at imparting pragmatic skills in service, humanities, physical education, and cultivating college and career readiness.
Moreover, our middle school curriculum includes a comprehensive study of both the Old and New Testaments, equipping students with a deep understanding of biblical principles. Additionally, students engage in exploring contemporary issues through a biblical lens, enabling them to comprehend and navigate the complexities of the modern world with clarity and insight.
High School
Pathways Christian Academy is partnering with the Christian curriculum provider, Northgate Academy, offering students the opportunity to earn a Cognia-accredited high school diploma. Our high school program is designed to immerse students in an integrated learning environment, combining online coursework with hands-on projects and assignments to enrich their understanding of key concepts.
Students at the high school level will benefit from a highly personalized learning experience, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Our curriculum extends beyond the classroom, offering both on-campus and off-campus learning experiences in service, physical education, humanities, and placing a strong emphasis on college and career readiness tailored to individual interests.
Integral to our high school program is the inclusion of Bible curriculum within the online programming. In addition to academic coursework, our overarching goal at Pathways Christian Academy is to facilitate the development of a deepened relationship with Christ among our high school students. This is achieved through various avenues, including personal devotional time, group discussions, discipleship, and mentoring, fostering spiritual growth and maturity.
